Bastion Information

Notes from the DM:

+the Tortolans are an asset you can use during downtime and bastion turns. They can do a few things for you if you ask them, and the stronger the bastion gets the more they can do. You can also get people to go back to your bastion on Tortola, but you won’t be able to do that until you bring at least one newcomer back with you next time you visit the bastion.

+the Tortolans can gather materials from the bountiful jungles of the island, spell components and alchemy supplies, we can roll on tables or you can ask for specific stuff and they will make dc checks to look for the stuff, the more rare the material the harder it would be to find. Some stuff is obviously impossible, but you could be fairly creative. The Tortolans are also good shipwrights and they can repair the Hyperion if she gets stove up.

+Hankunin and the village elders will run the place on your behalf. Despite his somewhat bewildering appearance and mannerisms, Hankunin can run a town, and can also do more complicated stuff like scry or some kind of island voodoo stuff. Again, we you can ask for stuff and be creative, but reasonable.

+basic supplies, while somewhat primitive in nature are free. Food and water is delicious and fresh, and you can take as much as you want, but it will spoil in about a week unless dried or refrigerated. The Tortolans can do this for you and make rations that keep, but their supply is limited to about a two week supply for the party every month. Ropes and any sailing materials like lumber and sail cloth are high quality and well made but take time to make, we can negotiate on this stuff depending on what you want. It can take less time with more quantity depending on infrastructure, these are basket weaver type people so it’s not very high tech, you would have to make infrastructure and quasi-industrial upgrades for the workforce to outfit a fleet with new rigging and sails, etc.
